Downtown Line (DTL) is the fifth Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line. Traveling from one end to the other will takes about 70 minutes. The line is currently 40.6 km long with 34 stations and it is fully underground and automated.
When this Downtown Line is completed, it will become the world’s longest driverless underground mass rapid transit line. Every day it will move more than 500,000 riders, and it will make it faster and easier for families in the eastern and northwestern parts of Singapore to travel to the city centre and to the rest of Singapore.
