Eu Tong Sen OBE RM (Chinese: 余東旋; 23 July 1877 – 11 May 1941) was a leading businessman in Malaya, Singapore and Hong Kong during the late 19th and early 20th century. He was vice-president of the Anti-Opium Society and a member of the Kinta Sanitary Board.
Eu Tong Sen (b. 23 July 1877, Penang, Malaya1–d. 11 May 1941, Hong Kong2) was a businessman and philanthropist who established his fortune in Malaya, and subsequently Hong Kong and southern China. The foundation of his business empire was established through tin mining and rubber plantations.
Eu Kong’s only son, Eu Tong Sen, grew up immersed in the family business and dedicated himself to realizing his father's vision. With unwavering determination and keen foresight, Eu Tong Sen established a presence in both Malaya and Singapore by the 1920s, becoming a leading figure in the tin mining and rubber plantation industries.
