The Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, established in 1905, is the first institution of higher learning in Singapore and the genesis of the National University of Singapore. The School is one of many who offer medical programmes in the Asia Pacific region.

Biosketch. Dr Gao Yujia graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2011. He joined the Residency Program at the National University Hospital in 2012, and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2013, and the Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2017.
In 1985, the Faculty of Medicine became part of the NUS campus at Kent Ridge. In 2005, the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Medicine celebrated its Centennial. It was renamed the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in acknowledgement of a generous gift from the Yong Loo Lin Trust.

Ranked one of Asia’s best medical education and research institutions, the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine admits 280 to 300 students every year into its undergraduate degree programme and produces the majority of doctors for Singapore.
PhD (Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine) Level: PhD. Faculty: Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Length: 18 months – 5 years. Intake: August/January. Deadline: 31 December (full-time) and 30 April (part-time) for August intake / 30 June (full-time) and 30 September (part-time) for January intake.
