June 2023 Anthony and Ian have purchased Smosh back from Rhett & Link's Mythical Entertainment and, for the first time since they were acquired by Alloy Digital in 2011, gone fully independent. They have also launched a new YouTube channel membership program to help fund future ventures. Rhett & Link are now minority shareholders, which gives complete creative control back to Ian and Anthony.
