Feb 24, 2022 · Taiwanese semiconductor firm UMC plans to expand its manufacturing and R&D operations in Singapore, with a new facility expected to start production in late 2024. The new fab will produce 22 and 28 nanometre chips for 5G, IoT and automotive markets.
