Monticello is a beautiful and unique historical site that's very reflective of Thomas Jefferson's love for architecture, the outdoors, and agriculture. My favorite part of Monticello is the vineyard views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I visited without going on the tour, which turned out to be a good decision.
