Portman Road is a football stadium in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, which has been the home ground of the Premier League club Ipswich Town since 1884. The stadium has also hosted many England youth international matches, and one senior England friendly international match, against Croatia in 2003.
Portman Road is located in central Ipswich on the way from the railway station to the city centre. The walk from either to the stadium takes no more than a 5 minutes. There is frequent train service from London Liverpool Street Station to Ipswich with the journey taking just over an hour.

Portman Road has been the home of Ipswich Town Football Club since 1884, just six years after the Suffolk based team was formed. It’s not the same stadium as stood back then, obviously, with the ground undergoing major renovations in 2002.
