Sep 15, 2023 · Better app (although N26‘s isn‘t bad), you can buy stock in one click, send payments to friends a bit faster. N26 Metal is slightly different from Revolut Metal. I found N26‘s offer more useful — they have lots of travel insurances that I wanted to get after a myriad lost luggage & delayed flight cases last year.
Revolut is clearly using your phone stats as a proxy for the consumption of the allowance on their SIM as opposed to what is actually used via their service. In short, the service is okay but, I would advise anyone considering using the service to check the list of countries served and not just assume that 'Global' actually means global.
Aug 13, 2023 · Yes x2. I live for it, great rates, slick app, budgeting is good, never had an issue in almost 4 years. Yeah, although exchange rate on revolut sucks at the moment somehow. Even wise is better with all its fees. I honestly can only speak for myself I have had a revolut account eight years now and never had a problem.
With Revolut, they say it can only be used on the device you bought it on that you have the Revolut app on so there isn't even the opportunity to buy it through Revolut then activate it on a different device. That's pretty poor when there are other proper eSIM solutions out there that do allow you to do that
Revolut's travel insurance is not to be relied on. I bought a premium plan for travel insurance, but when I claimed nothing was paid out. Aug 3, 2023 · The crypto and stock stuff isn’t super valuable because investing with Revolut isn’t advisable. The flight cancellation is great in principle but a friend who tried to use it only got a 70% refund (only under certain terms do you get 100%). You don’t have a concierge like the one available with AMEX.
Jul 29, 2018 · I am writing this review because I LIKE REVOLUT - but honestly, there are some serious flaws with this company that I simply can't overlook. The quote, ‘you can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk’ comes into mind when thinking about how this company operates - they have constantly made promises which they seemingly cannot keep.
Dec 1, 2022 · The only thing is, at times Revolut is a bit quicker to take steps than other banks to avoid issues they can be blamed for. But for normal everyday use, it's fine. Otherwise Revolut would not have this much users. Plus it would be an over the news. And don't forget, this place is where people come to complain. 12.
Aug 8, 2023 · Haven't seen any statements from Revolut preventing me from using app in emulator, so if those who comment on "account will be banned" can share reference about this - that would be great. Specially considering Windows 11 "native Android app support" via WSA (Windows Subsystem for Android), I think that would be helpful.
