Mar 12, 2016 · WebMD is essentially useless for physicians. As stated, the site is geared towards the layman. It's too vague and lacks significant depth for real guidance. Maybe a first year medical student might be able to gain a little from it, but after completion of the preclinical years it's a waste of time.
Created from scratch an efficient web scraper to mine WebMD for data on all the drugs listed on the website as well as the customer reviews for those drugs. Using this data, along with data from public databases on drug side effects, to classify the drugs using deep recurrent neural networks with long short-term memory cells.

On WebMD all roads lead to cancer, brain tumor, or the common cold. Generally most people who go to WebMD are already worried about potential symptoms.

Aug 10, 2014 · Yeah, no more WebMD bullshit. One of the main things they teach us in med school is ask your patient "what they think it is". Very few people come to the doctor without an idea of what it is. A doctor shouldn't ignore his/her patient's opinion. Yeah, I would be wary of any office that says this.
