Founded on Catholic values by the Sisters of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood on 4 March 1961, Mount Alvernia Hospital is the only not-for-profit general acute tertiary care private hospital in Singapore. With close to 380 beds, we are supported by more than 300 on-campus specialist doctors and nearly 1,400 accredited doctors.
Alvernia Obstetric Screening Centre (AOSC) is located in Mount Alvernia Hospital. We are an ultrasound screening centre for pregnant women — and we’ve been operating in this hospital since July 2019, scanning patients from Mount Alvernia Hospital and other private hospitals.
An exempt charity, Mount Alvernia is a not-for-profit, private Catholic hospital founded on Christian values. Our annual surplus goes into developing and upgrading the hospital, supporting our outreach service, the Assisi Hospice, and many community outreach activities.
