Summerhill College (aka The College of the Immaculate Conception) is a Roman Catholic voluntary secondary school for boys located in the town of Sligo in northwest Ireland. History [ edit ] The school was founded in 1857 [2] by then- Bishop of Elphin , Dr Laurence Gillooly , in Summerhill, Athlone , County Roscommon (present-day County Westmeath ).
The Summerhill College Alumni Association has been established to work on behalf of the past students of Summerhill College. The College has many famous past pupils and a network of successful alumni all over Ireland and beyond.
