    The South African Derby is the premier race for three-year-olds run over 2450 metres at Turffontein. First run in 1907 it is the final leg of the South African Triple Crown. Malmoos claimed the 2021 race and joined an elite list of winners who have won the South African Triple Crown including: Horse Chestnut (1999), Louis The King (2014) and Abashiri (2016).
