Singapore Philatelic Museum opened its door to the public on 19 Aug 95 with a mission to stimulate interest in stamps and promote the awareness and appreciation of Singapore's history and heritage. Our little Museum, built in 1907, is located at the foot of the historical Fort Canning Hill.
The museum, located at 23-B Coleman Street [1] in Singapore, was formerly part of the Anglo-Chinese School, completed in 1906. In the 1970s, the building became the Methodist Book Room until it was restored to become the present museum. The museum is currently closed for renovations.
This place is temporarily closed. Singapore Philatelic Museum celebrates everything about the world of stamps, from their unique background and connection to important historical moments in history, to stamp design and important collections.

With permanent exhibitions that showcase Singapore’s philatelic heritage and postal artifacts since the Straits Settlements era, the museum also hosts exhibitions that feature local and international philatelic collections. The Philatelic Museum is located along Coleman Street, a mere 2-3 minute walk from the Peranakan Museum. To get there by public transport, take the MRT to City Hall, Bras Basah or Clarke Quay and walk towards Fort Canning. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
