LOL is a 2012 coming-of-age comedy-drama film, directed by Lisa Azuelos and is a remake of the 2008 French film LOL (Laughing Out Loud). The movie stars Miley Cyrus as Lola, a high school student who navigates through the ups and downs of teenage life, including first love, friendship, family drama, and identity crisis.
Lola (Miley Cyrus) leads an ordinary life, with her boyfriend Chad (George Finn), and best friends Emily (Ashley Hinshaw), Janice (Lina Esco) and Kyle (Douglas Booth). When they return to school, Lola discovers that Chad has cheated on her over the summer, so the two of them break up.
