I can say, most interestingly to me, my ability to actually tell stories and pace how I tell them (classes and public presentations) has been VASTLY improved by learning from you... without even knowing it.

Darryl’s criticism was mostly that Dan said this about the ‘Insurrection’ but had no comment or didn’t come out with an episode when the 4-5 months of riots in Portland were going down, and carlin didn’t say anything about the rioters attempting to burn down a federal court building, lock people inside and attempt to light the doors on fire.
Jan 5, 2021 · Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History is by far the best popular history programs in existence right now. It’s entertaining, well researched and narrated with an unparalleled enthusiasm. It’s engaging, partly because Carlin doesn’t pretend to be an academic. His modesty is admirable. His voice is great.
Dan Carlin has always seemed to me like a relatively moderate libertarian type who against all odds regards himself as a radical. Like he thinks something must radically change to help the country - but I've never heard him profess any specific agenda in that regard, though I haven't listened to most of his old common sense shows.
