Oct 20, 2019 · "Dark Fate" is a an excellent action movie and a good "Terminator". You'll come satisfied and with a bit of regret. The horrible trailers doesn't reflect this intense chase. Mackenzie Davis is excellent. Schwarzenneger character treatment works well. Sarah Connor has a couple of moving since but also a couple of dumb lines.
Sep 20, 2020 · Dark Fate was very badly written, and comprised basically of 30mins of T2 remake but worse in every way, followed by boredom. Not surprised it bombed at all. The new Terminator "Rev-9" as a concept, which basically seemed to be "terminator that can split into T1000 & T-800 simultaneously" was boring in every way.
Dec 27, 2022 · I liked elements of Genisys and Dark Fate. I thought giving SkyNet a purpose was decent, in terms of moving the franchise forward from killer robots. Focus more on the AI side of things. Grace from Dark Fate was the best addition to the franchise since T2 imo. No interest in TSCC.

Oct 18, 2020 · I enjoyed Dark Fate a fair bit. Liked the action, liked the idea that a Terminator assimilated fully into society, Linda Hamilton being back was great and Mackenzie Davis was great too. It was a retread, but at least it was an entertaining one, unlike Salvation and Genisys.
Aug 28, 2024 · The terminator can't hit a character with a full mag of gatling gun and then a handgun; it felt like it was a Tex Avery/Storm Troopers parody, bullets hit everywhere around the character. Also same character holding a terminator, being repeatedly punched multiple times in the back by said terminator and having no damage afterwards.

Mar 29, 2023 · Terminator 2 still works as a closed loop, it just adds more pieces like how Skynet was based on the destroyed T-800 CPU. Judgement Day always happens in 1997, Skynet always sends a T-800 to 1984 and a T-1000 to 1995, Kyle Reese always gets Sarah Connor pregnant, John Connor always defeats Skynet in 2029.
Aug 5, 2022 · Dark Fate might be the worst: why bother fighting, when you only change the variables - no Skynet but something else, same goes with the leader of the Resistance. It could be interesting if they kept John in a support role, have him to get over the fact that someone else took his place, but no, the prologue just adds salt to injury.
