  2. Yes, I agree with you. It was a good film. My other favorite Z movies are (some mentioned already): 28 Days Later Dawn of the Dead (2004) Train to Busan Shaun of the Dead (for a laugh) Resident Evil (only the 1st one….kinda a Z movie) Zombieland. Reply reply.

  3. Jan 20, 2021 · World War Z was a decent movie with the wrong title. It wasn't horrible as zombie flicks go, IMHO. However, the departure from the source material just makes me divorce the two in my brain. The book is certainly worthwhile. And if you like audiobooks, definitely listen to this one.

  4. Oct 4, 2013 · The zombies were terrible, they were not scary, they weren't interesting, and what the fuck was up with that clicking of their jaws like they were a demented pacman. Jesus, I love the book and tried watching this with an open mind, but fuck, the only thing this movie is good for is MST3k episode. Reply reply. Spearka.

  5. Oct 11, 2022 · It wont ever happen and I quote: “ However, news then broke that the sequel was delayed yet again as Paramount has halted pre-production on the sequel, reportedly because China – one of the world's biggest movie markets – has a ban on zombie movies, making a sequel a risky prospect “.

  8. Jul 1, 2013 · TL;DR: World War Z is a well-constructed movie. All of the beats are in place, the stakes are clear and the fluid transitions from plot point to plot point work in an effective and engaging manner. Aside from that very dry summary, I found a lot to like about World War Z. It’s a movie where very few missteps are made.

Haven't posted on here in awhile but I was reminded earlier tonight of World War Z and how badly it was translated from book into movie. Literally no aspect of the book, as far as I recall, made it ...

  10. World War Z is actually a pretty solid zombie movie. Recommendation. I know this film gets hated on because it is not the book, and the book is great (and of course, like everyone always says, would make for the perfect HBO anthology series), but if you take a step back from the book and just view the movie as a movie, it's actually pretty solid.
