Itaewon, 1978 - 1979. Itaewon was originally a transportation hub where travelers could get horses during the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392). During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), Itaewon became more of a significant area as the new leaders relocated the country’s capital to Hanyang – modern-day Seoul.
Itaewon is one of the most lively neighborhoods in Seoul, renowned for its trendy restaurants, cool bars, and lively nightlife scene. Both locals and travelers flock to the area, and for good reason. It's conveniently situated near the subway, making it an easy stop after visiting the nearby War Memorial during the day.
