Located within three beautifully-restored shophouses on Pagoda Street, the Chinatown Heritage Centre is a time capsule that holds stories of Singapore’s past. Dedicated to documenting and recreating the lives of Chinatown’s earliest residents, the space comprises six galleries, conserved living spaces and a range of immersive experiences.
The Heritage Conservation Centre (HCC) is the repository and conservation facility for the management and preservation of Singapore’s National Collection.
Chinatown Heritage Centre is your gateway to discovering the rich history and cultural heritage of the first Chinese people to step foot in Chinatown. They are considered the early pioneers of Singapore and have contributed a great deal into shaping one of the city-state’s most famous areas.
The Chinatown Heritage Centre is the only place in Singapore that has recreated the original interiors of its shophouse tenants in the 1950s, offering visitors an honest, revealing glimpse into the lives of Chinatown's early residents.

Visitation days: Wednesdays, 10.00am or 2.00pm. Duration: Approximately 1 – 1.5 hours. Please complete this booking form and your request will be processed. Join us as a volunteer guide to host and enlighten visitors on the conservation and collections management work carried out at the Heritage Conservation Centre.
