As two beloved patients prepare for surgery, the volunteers await their uncertain future.
Will walks into Georgia in the hall and asks to talk with her, she says that there's nothing to talk about knowing that Dr. Henry told him to stay away from her, and Will obeying him. He tries to explain and says he wish he never listened to what Dr. Henry said, she agrees with what he said, and leaves.
Kit asks Holden how he's holding up, he says that he is still a little scared but feels more resigned to his fate. She tells him that she might leave Attaway General and would give it up to ensure he gets a good outcome. Holden says that would be unnecessary and that she's good and should keep doing what she's doing because its her dream and she improves every day. He is about to tell her how he feels about her just until his girlfriend Bella come in the room to check on him.
