Underwater World, also known as Underwater World Singapore Pte Ltd, was an oceanarium located on the offshore Singaporean island of Sentosa. It was opened on 13 May 1991 and closed on 26 June 2016.
The vast array of aquatic life is complemented by interactive programmes, up-close animal encounters and immersive learning journeys to inspire visitors to protect the world’s oceans. Part of the proceeds from tickets will be donated to Community Chest to empower those in need.

The idea of a marine oceanarium in Singapore to boost tourism was mooted in the late seventies, prompted by the success of Hong Kong’s Ocean Park, opened in 1977.

May 7, 2024 · Underwater World Singapore had the country’s first underwater viewing tunnel. It measured 83m-long and surrounded visitors with scuttering marine life. The reef section had angelfish and dories swimming around while sawfish, eagle rays, and black-tip reef sharks lurked around in the ocean section.
