Yishun Innova Junior College ( YIJC) is one of the 14 junior colleges in Singapore, offering two-year pre-university programmes for students who graduate from secondary schools after their O-level examinations. The two-year A-Level programme prepares students for education in local or foreign universities.
At YIJC, digital literacy is our niche and we aim to inculcate in students competencies through our Digital Literacies Programme which focuses on human-digital interactions in three distinct domains – digital productivity, citizenship and innovation, in line with our vision of developing future-ready leaders.
Our students undertake the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Curriculum, typically offering three H2 content-based subjects and one H1 content-based subject. The three compulsory subjects for students are H1 General Paper, Project Work and H1 Mother Tongue. All students must offer H1 General Paper.
In 2019, Yishun Junior College and Innova Junior College merged to form Yishun Innova Junior College (YIJC), which combines the best programmes from both colleges. May 8, 2024 · The upgrading works to the permanent site of Yishun Innova Junior College at 21 Champions Way are scheduled to complete in 2027. The school will operate from its permanent site from January 2028, one year later than previously announced, as more time was needed to finalise the design and other parameters for the upgrading works.
