    Kranj (pronounced ⓘ, German: Krainburg) is the third-largest city in Slovenia, with a population of 37,941 (2020). It is the seat of the City Municipality of Kranj . It is located approximately 20 kilometres (12 miles) northwest of the national capital Ljubljana in the traditional region of Upper Carniola (northwestern Slovenia).

    • Kranj Town Hall. One of the top cultural monuments in all of Slovenia, the Town Hall is on Glavni Trg and is a compound of two historic buildings. The oldest is the Columned Hall from the 1500s and the newer dates to the 1600s and was a home for nobility in the Renaissance style.
