School Information. The School Crest was created in 1879 when St. Anthony’s Primary was founded by Father Pedro Sta Anna da Cunha, a Portuguese priest. It was then known as St. Anna’s Mission School. In the centre of the crest is a shield and the seven towers, which can also be found in the national flag of Portugal.

ANTHONY’S CANOSSIAN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL. What started as a small project to educate a few poor children, has since grown and developed greatly. In 1995, the enrolment of pupils was increased.
St. Anthony’s Primary School was originally called St Anna’s School. Funded by the Catholic Portuguese Mission of Singapore, the school started in a small rented house on Middle Road on 1 August 1879.
The school hopes that the experience would help our girls to learn more about the various CCAs offered by the school. The programme will also give students opportunities to discover their areas of interest and then choose a CCA which they would like to commit to in Primary 3.
