Oceanside is a city on the South Coast of California, located in San Diego County. The city had a population of 174,068 at the 2020 United States census, up from 167,086 at the 2010 census, making it the most populous city in the North County region of San Diego.
The City of Oceanside, incorporated in 1888, has a five-member elected Mayor and City Council that serves as the legislative body. As elected officials, the Mayor and City Councilmembers make decisions on issues and policies relating to City policies.

- Dine on the Oceanside Pier. Historic Oceanside Pier is the largest wooden pier on the West Coast. It’s a two-minute walk from downtown and a four-minute walk from the Coaster station.
- Make It a Family Day at Tyson Street Beach and Park. Tyson Street Park includes Tyson Beach. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see Lifeguard Tower 5 on the beach.
