Meet AJF Director Alan John. JANUARY 2016— Alan John joined the AJF team in 2015, shortly before he retired from The Straits Times, where he was Deputy Editor. He began as a reporter at The New Straits Times in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1976, and moved to Singapore in 1980.
Alan John (born 7 May 1958 in Sydney) is an Australian composer. He studied music at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1980.
