That singular design choice makes the "one solution" nature work flawlessly because you can actually hold the the possibility space in your head and think about the mechanics within that space. It never felt cheap. All the mechanics were fully fleshed out, fully utilized and pushed to their furthest extent.

Dec 13, 2022 · Besties use the same GotY format for two years challenge [impossible] I think they received surprisingly negative feedback on their Best of the Decade episode, in part because when people heard about it they thought "oh well obviously Breath of the Wild is going to win" and then of course it won which was kind of disappointing, especially/mostly to people with whom the game did not click.
Dec 22, 2023 · Besties 2023 GOTY Spectacular - Part Two. Love griff, but he can’t criticize the end of BG3 without actually playing the ending after it was patched. The game is enormous, and it’s crazy that Larian only took 4 months to patch it up.
The besties in its current state is almost doomed to fail - out of the four hosts, 2 (the resties) will play the game and have meaningful discussion. Griffin will play the game, but often gets wound around the axel of trying to describe what the game is and not really move on from there, often moving the discussion on just as it gets good.
