The film Opens with Dr. Jane Mathis (Vanessa Shaw), a trauma psychiatrist, working late into the evening hours (with Holiday music playing in the background) calling in prescription updates and performing patient checkup calls.
'Clinical' was a very different film to what I expected going in. Based on the synopsis and then the opening scene I thought we were looking at more of a psychological horror. There are elements of that to it, but it would have to said it is more of a thriller than anything with a dash of mystery.
Violence & Gore. Flashbacks throughout the movie to an event in which a young girl is seen to attack her psychiatrist with a shard of glass (she stabs her several times, blood spatter is seen), and then slit her own throat (very graphic, though she is shown later to have survived this event).
