Correct, if you buy the postage online it shows as dispatched. It doesn't mean the seller cannot be arsed to post it.

Nov 30, 2020 · The seller is in control of when the item is marked as dispatched. Nonsense. When you purchase postage through eBay whether it be RM, Hermes, UPS etc once you've paid then the item is AUTOMATICALLY MARKED AS DISPATCHED without your input. The tracking number is also inputted automatically.
Jul 28, 2020 · What does eBay 'Dispatched' mean? Yes, it would help if "dispatched" was replaced by "processed". When sellers process orders, if the seller purchases postage (either by Royal Mail/Hermes/UPS/DHL) through eBay then eBay automatically marks the item as "Dispatched" and completes the "Tracking" info on the listing.
Sep 28, 2023 · So back in July, I pre ordered EA Sports FC 24 for Xbox Series X to be delivered on release day (which is tomorrow of course), and it says it's been dispatched but with 'delivery appointment scheduled'. Does anyone know what this means please? I should add that the money for the pre order has come off my card today. Thanks.

It says items that are in stock are dispatched withing 24 hours however I ordered 3 games (all in stock) on the 16th and they are still awaiting to be dispatched. Before Christmas I ordered PlayTV from them and it took about 2 weeks to turn up but I put that down to the time of year.

Often, I've also had the following status for a day or more: We're expecting it. The sender has advised they have despatched your item to Royal Mail.

I've ordered tons of stuff from them online and never had any trouble apart from the odd bluray arriving with a busted case, but then i've taken that back to a CEX with my receipt and they've usually replaced it free of charge. Ordered some kindles from them as well and they've also arrived fine as well.
