We already see EA post of G5 equipment with less core count in the lineup like 2 core vs 4 core only thing that improved in G5 is more ram. wut?

This machine is a Dream Machine SE with a processor clocked to 2 GHz, two protect drive bays, double the ram but no PoE. The backplane is probably like the SE, good enough for 2.5 GHz Ethernet instead of the 1 GHz Pro model. A Street Fighter developer must now be working at Ubiquiti.

I currently have a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X SFP but that can't handle my ISP speed, so I was looking for a new router. The Dream Machine is a great alternative but I was wondering if there were any alternatives. I looked at Aruba but they don't really have a router (AFAIK).

Jan 3, 2023 · all of the posts i've found a a few years old involving dream machines. I've currently got two unraid servers and the dream machine running on this UPS. Is there a way to safely shutdown my dream machine upon power loss or do i just raw dog it and let it lose power?
My current plan is something like: FiOS ONT --cat5--> Dream Machine --cat6--> USW-16-POE switch --cat5--> nanoHD access points (probably one on each level) And then of course plugging my existing Ethernet wall jacks into the USW-16 switch. But the more I read about the new Dream Machine Pro the more I'm wondering if it might be a better fit.
