Jun 27, 2008 · “Wall-E” is a thoroughly entertaining movie, but as someone who does not have children himself, I wonder if children will enjoy this one as much as some parents. The first half of the movie has nary a word of dialog and might seem slow to children used to Superhero movies and the fast paced action designed for the ADD generation.
Elliott and E.T. begin sharing feelings telepathically, which results in some hilarious scenes. While E.T. is at home, slightly inebriated, Elliott is dissecting frogs in science class. The frogs remind him of E.T. When E.T. finds a comic strip that inspires him to contact his spaceship, Elliott is inspired to save the frogs from their fate.
Aug 30, 2024 · With its lengthy establishing shots of city skylines and punchy score that tries too hard to infuse slower scenes with energy, the movie often feels like a glorified TV mini-series. Still, the movie is an admirable effort since it didn’t have the financial backing of a major Hollywood studio. If the film has a strong suit, it’s the cast.
The movie could have easily been created for 90 minutes. As a Christian, I know these days that most movies are void of proper Christian themes, with a few sprinkled with pieces of Christian ethics. Christian or non-Christian, I think overall the movie was long, boring at some points, yes there was action—the bloody war scenes, but even those got tiring after a while.
…“Titan A.E.” breaks the mold. The movie takes a bold leap in the right direction, and in classic Don Bluth fashion, takes us places we’ve never seen in animation—or live action for that matter—before. As is typical in action films, there isn’t much plot to be found here… The musical score, in particular, is unforgivable.
Neutral —Although the movie was well made, I felt a little bit led astray by the title. I knew the premise of the movie, but I was dissapointed that the actual Gospel message was not clearly presented. There was a lot of talk about God and the way He can help, but not much about the details of faith in God or why these people trust in Him.
Positive —A Christmas movie powerhouse with a message to heal millions—Movies today can end with nothing being resolved and some films even offer alternate endings in the event you didn’t like the way it did end. The movie “Noëlle” ends with something we can all live with and something millions can’t live without. …“

Sensitive viewers may be disturbed by the villain’s transformation into a half-man, half-cockroach several times during the movie. He transforms several other characters into this condition as well. Overall, however, “Despicable Me 4” is a solid, family-friendly movie that builds well on the franchise’s previous installments.
