It was easier to make than I (and probably most others) suspected, and looked pretty cool. It didn't last terribly long, though; just gutting dust of it was a delicate operation. Dec 18, 2006 · The best drivers, brains and marketing gurus are all drawn to the Formula 1 world, often gaining huge publicity and credit. And then there are the mechanics. Mechanics as a rule don’t come into Formula 1 looking for their fame and fortune – they often work incredibly long hours with little recognition.
Formula 1 has become like Hollywood now, it's a very far and inscrutable world and drivers behave like Hollywood stars: maybe, all the «rules» of Show Business are valable also for Formula 1! We know every driver has his manager who deal with his image, and I wonder if they could manoeuvre his public life. «Spy Story» has proved that in Formula 1 nothing is like it looks!
Sep 22, 2010 · Jack Whileblood was an engineer who drove and managed the F1 shock absorber truck for Armstrong. He did have a bad accident but it was not as a F1 test driver--as I recall it was while returning to England after a race. I was with Firestone Racing from 1972-74 and got to know him quite well. Of course, so did everyone who ever met him!

Requirements: TV with F1 coverage on ITV A safe and stable chair A bucket (just in case) Accumulated alcohol (minimum requirements): 1 x bottle of vodka 1 x bottle of wine (red, white or rose - your choice) 4 x cans lager/beer 1 x bottle of unknown origins left at the back of the booze cupboard to ferment for at least five years.
