Mohamed Nazir bin Abdul Razak (born 19 November 1966) is a Malaysian banking executive. He was chairman of CIMB Group, which is one of the largest financial services providers in Malaysia and ASEAN. He was CEO of the group from 1999 to 2014.
Nazir Razak is the chairman and founding partner of Ikhlas Capital, an ASEAN private equity firm. Prior to this, he spent twenty-nine years at CIMB Group, where he spearheaded its transformation from a small Malaysian investment bank to a leading ASEAN banking group.
He was also the Chairman of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, a development finance institution (2021 to 2023). Nazir is currently the Chairman of PLS Plantations. Nazir has received some of the most prestigious awards from international journals and institutions as a banker and a corporate leader.
