What Did Noah’s Ark Look Like? Scripture does not elaborate about the shape of Noah’s ark beyond those superb, overall proportions—length, breadth, and depth. Since the Bible gives proportions consistent with those of a true cargo ship, it makes sense that it should look and act like a ship, too. How Many People Built the Ark?
It took a long time to build the ark because it was so big. Finally, after many years, it was finished. Now God told Noah to bring the animals into the ark. God said to bring in two of some kinds of animals, both a male and a female. But of other kinds of animals, God told Noah to bring in seven.
In Noah’s day grace came in the shape of an Ark. Today grace comes in the shape of a Cross. The only way a person can be saved from the eternal consequences of their rebellion against God is to turn from that sin and trust in the Savior Jesus Christ—the way, the truth, and the life.
Each son was old enough to be married before construction on the Ark begins. A ccording to Scripture, Noah’s Ark was a safe haven for representatives of all the kinds of air-breathing land animals that God created. While it is possible that God made miraculous provisions for the daily care of these animals, it is not necessary—or required by Scripture—to appeal to miracles.
Hence, if kinds were best approximated by the rank of class or phylum, Noah’s Ark would have been entirely superfluous. Together these facts demonstrate that kind is probably best approximated by the classification rank of family or maybe order—but definitely not class or phylum.

The ark was a real rescue ship that God used to save Noah, his family, and the animals from the flood.
Jehovah told Noah to build a big ark so that he and his family could survive the Flood. An ark is a huge box that can float on water. Jehovah also told Noah to bring many animals inside the ark so that they could survive too. Noah immediately started building the ark. It took Noah and his family about 50 years to build it.
