Drag approximately straight hold pencil down the app will make the line that you're drawing straight. On Goodnotes i just draw a line and hold it for it straighten out.

Apr 17, 2020 · Select the line shape in and hold down shift when you draw. You can also draw straight betweek two point by draw somewhere and then hold down shift and click the next position. The draw tool will fill the path between. it would be nice if they made Shift key to allow doing this with simple Brush tool.
