The CAB-xxxx files that you see in the C:\Windows\Temp\ folder are some temporary files created by different Windows Operations, like installing Updates. You can safely delete these files off from that folder. Alternatively, you can also run Disc Cleanup to delete the temporary files from your computer.

I opened both and when I saw files that states, setup information under type, I right clicked on it and clicked on install. The result states: The operation completed successfully.
May 9, 2017 · Thank you for your reply. I found a way around it. I downloaded the Microsoft troubleshooting tool, and it found three problems, and said it fixed them all - but it didn't, so I looked through the xml files and found the cab file mentioned several times, the file that I was looking to download as the cause of the problem, but it was actually a file created by the tool.
