Beginning 1 st May 2021, International Students travelling to Malaysia will not be required to submit the LOU to the nearest Malaysian Mission located to them. International Students are also not required to apply for the Entry Permit upon receiving Travel Authorisation from EMGS.

On behalf of the Government of Malaysia and the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), we are pleased to inform that the requirement of the Letter of Undertaking (LOU) document at International Entry Points has been revoked effective 1 st May 2021.
Aug 2, 2021 · Effective 1 May 2021, all travellers to Malaysia are no longer required to submit LOU to the Malaysian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate General. As such, there will be no more issuance of TN for flights arriving from 1 st May 2021 onwards.
