Ren Ci’s nursing homes represent our foray into the heartlands, with nursing homes located in Bukit Batok, Ang Mo Kio and Woodlands. They provide long term residential care for seniors who are mostly wheelchair-bound or bedridden, with multiple illnesses requiring daily nursing needs.
From a single Chronic Sick Unit with 174 beds, Ren Ci has grown to operate a total of 1301 beds across a community hospital and three nursing homes, with the newest 332-bed Ren Ci @ Woodlands nursing home operationalising in February 2024.
Located just a stone’s throw from Bishan Park, Ren Ci @ Ang Mo Kio is a 472-bed nursing home that was purpose-built to be the first nursing home in Singapore with a communal household concept. Residents live in households of 16 or 20, which contain 4-bed bedrooms clustered around shared living spaces such as a day activity area and kitchenette.
The 332-bed Ren Ci @ Woodlands is the third nursing home operated by Ren Ci Hospital, and the first to be located within a health campus. Its location within Woodlands Health Campus allows for seamless transitions across the various care settings according to patients' needs.
Just a short walk from the tranquil Little Guilin, Ren Ci @ Bukit Batok St. 52 is a 256-bed nursing home that aims to be part of the community. Residents stay in wards split into two wings, each housing three cubicles of six to 10 beds.
Admission to Nursing Homes. Admission to our nursing homes is strictly by referral through the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), a centralised government agency that monitors the availability of beds across all ILTC (Intermediate and Long Term Care) facilities in Singapore.
