Richard William Stephen Shaw (December 8, 1966 – June 9, 2019), better known by his stage name Bushwick Bill, was a Jamaican rapper. [3] He was a member of the Texas hip hop group Geto Boys, a group he originally joined as a breakdancer in 1986 as Little Billy. [4]

Rest in paradise, Bushwick Bill... One of my younger brothers was actually the first one to get me into the Geto Boys, and especially Mind Playing Tricks. My brother used to rap this song all the time, and when I finally heard the song on my own mind, it got me hooked.
On the defining Geto Boys song, Bill was the one trapped in a nightmare, faced with his own worst fear: A seven foot goliath that he can’t stave off.
