Apply for the Real Estate Salesperson Course. CEA requires all new entrants to complete the RES examination preparatory course conducted by CEA Approved Course Providers before registering for the RES examination with their Certificates of RES Course Completion.
Be a sole-proprietor, director or partner of the EA. Have at least 3 years’ experience in estate agency work (e.g., applicant has held a RES registration for at least 3 years, or has been a KEO, practising director or practising partner for at least 3 years).

May 15, 2024 · About the REA Examination. Under the new regulatory framework, individuals who intend to assume the role of the Key Executive Officer (KEO) of an estate agent are required to possess a pass in the Real Estate Agency (REA) examination, or equivalent.

Key Reminder Estate agents (EA) are advised to purchase your Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) early (before 1 October 2023) and ensure that your PII coverage is from 1 January to 31 December 2024.
