Feb 5, 2011 · What you are describing sounds normal for the Borrego. The 4WD system works, but isn't the best system in world. The problem is, the Borregos in the US were only offered with Auto 4WD (TOD). In other countries they were available with selectable 4WD (EST) also, which had 2Hi, 4Hi, and 4Lo. The EST is a much better system IMHO.
Oct 19, 2021 · Hello --. Having a strange electrical problem. 2009 Borrego V6 4WD, 119,000 (original owner). Back in May of this year, I parked the car to go into a store, came back out 30 minutes later, and car wouldn't do anything. No power, no lights, nothing. Had to unlock the car with my key rather than using the key fob.
Measure the clearance between the pulley (B) and disc & hub assembly (A) all the way around. If the clearance is not within specified limits, remove the disc & hub assembly and add or remove shim (gap washer) as needed to increase or decrease clearance. Clearance: 0.45 ± 0.1mm (0.018 ± 0.004 in.) NOTE:
Jul 16, 2018 · Borrego Transmission Issues. I have a 2009 Borrego 3.8L V8 with 140K in miles. I get in this morning to go to work and the car feels like it is stuck in a higher drive gear, or in a "limp mode". Put it in reverse and felt a bigger jolt than "normal". Bought this car used, so not sure as to if any recall work has been completed on it.
Feb 17, 2017 · With respect to the Kia Borrego the California BAR has admitted defeat! They have programmed their smog testing equipment to ignore the EGR monitor on the 2009 Kia Borrego (with the 3.8 V6). Mar 6, 2009 · This week I have worked with a local Kia dealership (parts counter) and have established that this part number is not valid. Instead, here is the current offering: - Left Rear is 55320-2J100, at $112.93. - Right Rear is 55310-2J100, at $171.24. Why there is such a significant price difference is beyond me.
Jul 30, 2016 · Scenario A: Not running, Key on, about 7 amps being returned through negative battery lead. 1) Battery voltage at battery terminals is 12.7V. 2) Voltage in cigarette lighter is 10V. Scenario B: Engine running (engine cranks but starting seems unenthusiastic) 1)Battery voltage 13.6V. 2)Voltage in cigarette lighter is 14.2V.
Jan 21, 2010 · 9. The drivers side windshield wiper is not properly installed. It is off by a couple degrees and causes a knocking sound at the bottom. 10. The trailer hitch electrical connection is very poorly designed/located. It is UNDER the rear bumper cover and can not be accessed at all.
Mar 16, 2014 · My wife has a 2009 Kia Borrego. Yesterday she spilled ice cream all over the console and it got into the USB and iPod docking ports. Now her radio keeps coming on for the iPod. How do I remove the console to clean the inside of it. I don't see any way of doing so. Thank you for any help.
