Part of the joke behind "Florida Man" is that, owing to the way those news reports are titled ("Florida Man does such and such" etc), that there is a singular person known as "Florida Man" who is doing all of those crazy things. You can see in r/FloridaMan 's sidebar an image of Florida Man captioned "The World's Worst Superhero".
