The worst part was removing the old seals - lighter fluid (naptha) and patience did the trick. Jon's kit was excellent - perfect fit and well illustrated, clear instructions. Highly recommended!

Dec 28, 2023 · I just ordered a couple of sets of light seals from Jon Goodman and he has indicated to me he is easing out of offering this service in the future. He didn't state when he would totally end offering these great pre-cut sets, but like many of us advancing in years, the effort and time this endeavor takes subtracts from our remaining time to enjoy life and friends.

John's adapter is advantageous because it is cheaper to buy, and the availability of really cheap (check Costco) brand name 675 hearing aid batteries is excellent.

There is a spring loaded catch to be mindful of when removing the plastic frame.Most cases of light leaks on the Mamiya 120 backs are caused by a faulty foam seal by the back door hinge.
Jun 11, 2012 · The Goodman mark might actually have been removed for fear of infringing on some trade norm. In any case the other agent performed an intermediate step for the client, as directed by Jon's instructions, and handed the resulting good to the final client, with Jon's instruction.

Jul 28, 2010 · Time ago, for little money, I bought a used OM-1 in excellent cosmetic condition excepting the leatherette and seals (I thought). Interslice (Jon Goodman), CameraLeather (Morgan Sparks) and a C.R.I.S. adapter took care of the easiest part of the overhaul/update. But I had a similar problem with a grossly misaligned (but working) light meter.
Mar 24, 2013 · As I mentioned the last time, I got the Jon Goodman light seal kit for this Bronica SQ back. I installed the new seals, which was sort of fiddly -- lots of small pieces. I then tested the back again -- the film still showed light leaks, same if not worse.
