Deligne-Mumford stack 和 Artin stack 的区别在于选取的 topology 不一样。Deligne-Mumford stack 是 étale locally 研究问题，Artin stack 是在更一般的 topology 下研究。后者的范围更广，允许 “更多” 的自同构，做起来也更难一些。Scheme 上一些代数结构的模空间很自然地是 Artin stack.
