  1. Sep 26, 2019 · {Vocal Summary}The highest-placed of the Bee Gees, Robin Gibb was sort of an odd bird vocally compared to his brothers, Barry and Maurice. Compared to the others' more nasal tones, Robin's was fuller, yet it possessed a characteristic quaver and unique diction that set himself apart from any other pop singer of the day.

  2. Feb 24, 2024 · Maurice Gibb: F tier Despite having the potential to produce both first and upper fourth octave notes, he simply chooses not to, using falsetto for anything above A4 and seldom going below G2, even though he is very comfortable and strong down to D2 and has multiple C2s that sound quite easy as well. Robin Gibb: C tier

  3. Apr 13, 2023 · Unlike his brethren, Andy had a much silkier tone than Barry's coarse-toned falsetto or Robin's often creased shaky chest voice. Definitely having a much smoother tone than either of them. However, just like his brothers, he absolutely refused to go above G4 in chest voice, even though he is most definitely a tenor.

  7. Jul 26, 2024 · Barry Gibb struggles with G4s in the exact same way (if not worse), yet he is pretty much universally agreed to be a tenor (at least by this forum). As challenging as those G4s are, plenty of tenors struggle with that note, especially doing it in what's basically pure chest voice like Price is doing in that recording.

  8. Feb 22, 2023 · Yeah, it's kind of interesting to see a high-placed singer who doesn't really like singing high. Robin Gibb is the same way. It's nice to see high-placed singers who doesn't feel the need to stretch his/her range to its limits. Very refreshing in my opinion.

  10. Apr 22, 2023 · Barry Gibb's G5 from Reaching Out Robin Gibb's A4 from Rings Around the Moon Maurice Gibb's B♭2 from Every Time I See You Smile Perhaps not technically impressive, but Barry Gibb's D5 from Search, Find was always one of my favourites. I'll have many more by the time I finish their threads.
