  8. Jan 10, 2010 · "Sales slip" isn't a term I use, but I understand it to mean a receipt or bill of sale for a purchase from a retail store (Webster's New World College Dictionary definition). If that definition is accurate, then I would say "receipt" is a far wider term: receipts can be issued for services as well as for goods, and by individuals, clubs etc as well as by shops.

I imagine a bank slip is be something like 9 by 4 inches (23 x 10 cm). Similar for say a payslip. If it is an A4 sheet (8.3" x 22.7"/210mm x 297mm) or similar, I wouldn't call it a slip.
