  1. Since then, obviously, all my temps are down. Especially the HDDs - three of them reach 30c and one has been up to 47c (it is some distance away from the airflow, in one of the 5.25inch drive bays) I haven't had the PC on for as long as it would normally take to bluescreen yet, but If it does I want to know what all the temps were right before the bluescreen.

Enabling Gaming Mode on the SN770 essentially disables any power-saving / sleep features, so the drive is always at the ready.

  7. Jun 22, 2015 · CPU core temps are usually a reliable way to determine the CPU temps, for situations like throttling at ~100° C. 75-80° C an Intel modern processor should not be throttling. A modern Intel processor will happily downclock and down voltage at any temperatures, when it does not have a lot of work to do.

  8. Everest Ultimate is suddenly telling me that the CPU temperature (and core temps) for my E6850 Core 2 Duo is 72 degrees Celsius. When I stress-test the machine, the temp goes up to 91 degrees and the CPU actually throttles. System remains stable though.

  9. Your temps are not 'high' vis-a-vis how high those chips can stand, but they are extremely high compared to 'normal' operation. If your CPU is that hot, you really should remove the heatsink fan, re-apply some good thermal paste, and re-apply the heatsink and fan. There are even videos that can show you what to do. Steps:

  10. It seems like there's an obvious discongruity between load % and the CPU core temps. Could my cooling system just be sporadically failing? Basic specs: Intel Core i5 3450 Quad 3.1 GHZ, 8gb DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 6850, CoolIT ECO A.L.C water cooling. Thanks!
