Dec 11, 2021 · The biggest mistake Funimation made with the merge was not fixing their own fucking website/servers before shutting down AnimeLab. If they don't roll it out or fix the current site before my subscription runs out, I'm going over to Crunchyroll until Sony decides to merge that with Funimation too.
Dec 19, 2020 · Funimation is great if you like dubs (they also have subs) and Crunchyroll is great for subs. Really depends on what anime you like and where it's at. One thing I've seen done is get a subscription to Funimation and use Crunchyroll free option as Crunchyroll is a lot better for watching anime free with ads than Funimation.
Funimation and VRV streaming services will become useless for simulcast anime beginning with the Spring 2022 season. All titles previously announced by Funimation will instead appear on Crunchyroll.
