Hertz is a scam! Hertz owes me $743.63. I rented a car for two weeks because I didn't know how long my dad was going to live. I pick up the car on March 28th and return it on April 6th. Not only was I charged an additional $318.64 for insurance I didn't want or need as American Express offers car rental insurance.
May 21, 2022 · Been checking car rental for 13 days in canada for about a week now, and i haven't found anything for less than like $2,000-$2,500. After much searching, found a random aggregator site for car rentals and found a full-size car from hertz for about $909 and booked it. The site was kind of sketchy looking, but a lot of them are.
Jul 26, 2022 · You need to drive 20 hours a week to pay for rental and the car is for you to use for other times. I just saw an ad and looked into it. It’s about $240-290/week depending on the car (I saw some for 315/week and one that was 40/hourly). They also said you can get $40 back if you take an Uber to pick up your rental!
Feb 18, 2023 · If so, it shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re not, I would return it when you said you would, otherwise you could get charged for an additional day. Also, if anything happens (car accident, stolen car, etc) it puts you in a bit more of a grey area. Well, it’s Hertz, so you’ll probably be imprisoned for alleged car theft.

Nov 10, 2021 · Daily Cost without fuel: $50.52. The bad: The rates are high (just like if you rented a car as a consumer). Thanks to demand and the pandemic. Most of the cars are 2-3 years old with higher than normal (for Hertz) mileage. Getting a reservation was easy, until it was time to pick up my rental.
