  2. Apr 8, 2022 · I took ZipAir to Hawaii. They are legit although I believe they don't include taxes in the total until you reach the final page when you buy the ticket. Still it was about 25% cheaper than any other airline. Also the plane was almost empty so you can spread yourself out onto a full row to sleep. Free wifi was also a godsend although a bit slow.

  3. Even with all extra fees, they are still cheaper compared to other major airlines. Once my kids are older and have more travel experience, we will most likely go with ZipAir. I flew RT from SJC-NRT in October. They did not weigh carry on bags in San Jose, but they did weigh them in Narita.

  4. Zipair is JAL, so in case of irregular ops, you’re probably OK. In terms of comfort, assuming you’re flying economy, onboard, it’s like the difference between United and Frontier. On Zipair, you get a seat. Everything else is extra or unavailable. I’d be okay with that. If you need a meal, drinks, entertainment, etc, spend the money.

  5. Feb 27, 2024 · best thing to do here is buy food after you've weighed and checked in. Unfortunately, that means you're buying crappy airport food. you have to be careful because of the whole 7kg thing I get it, but this seems to be the only way, or just pre order your food on zipair its actually pretty reasonable and definitely cheaper than airport food. 1.

  6. Sep 8, 2021 · A low-cost carrier wholly owned by Japan Airlines (JAL) named ZIPAIR Tokyo (ZIPAIR) has officially launched its first flight between Singapore and Tokyo's Narita International Airport. According to a Facebook post by Changi Airport, ZIPAIR is the first budget airline to operate a non-stop direct service between the two cities.

  7. Nov 15, 2023 · When booking, it has a policy about getting a refund for any changes or cancels within 24 hours of booking, after that, it uses ambiguous language about refunding. And as some of us know, there are always exceptions and anything can be done. A few months ago, I booked a one way flight in the lie-flat seats for my wife and I, cost around $2300 ...

  8. Haven't tried ZipAir kasi bago pa lang siya pero operated by JAL siya so baka okay naman. Kaso sa price ata hindi pa din super mura unlike others. Cheaper than JAL, yes. Haven't tried AirAsia din pero yung friends ko na pumuntang South Korea tapos AirAsia, hindi masaya kasi super uncomfortable daw so hindi ko na siya sinasama sa options.

  9. Jan 11, 2024 · 2nd Flight: Los Angeles, California > Narita, Tokyo (Zipair) And obviously the same flights but in reverse order on the way back. The thing is that this set of tickets only really give a weird option for extra carry on for quite a lot (Like 200 USD for 14kg carry on). So essentially, it doesn't consider any check-in luggage.

  10. Jan 23, 2024 · To avoid writing a novel, I will now list the pros and cons of the flight from SJC to Narita: Pros: Multiple seat positions provided flexibility and comfort. Good space around the seat for personal items. Attendants were friendly and accommodating. Four spacious and odor-free bathrooms.

  11. Thanks for your help! Rule of thumb- if you want to guarantee specific seats, especially together, pay to select the seats. You don't want to risk being separated and it'll still...in MOST cases...be cheaper than a different airline. Always price compare, of course. We’re on the same boat to fly from SJO to Tokyo.
